often your are on ya own when driving on Countryside roads. coarse asphalt, or gravel...good tyres should be a priority. and don't drive too fast, watch the corners, often they're is a sign, warning to lower the speed....do it!! if it says 40km/h then that's it...a higher speed...which I done once..nearly trew me out into the paddock....and these corners drive you around the bent, when not careful:-)...and there are the locals, one actually is never alone in Canterbury!!some food, water, a jacket or blancet...that's how I go for a ride in the Countryside....mobile phone these days is a real helperwhen you belong to an automobil club, your membership is valid here, good to know you are being looked after
