Peace and quiet
the area is an ideal place to learn to relax again....nature will make you sit still, but if that is not your cup of tea, then your are a little off the beaten path. arriving in Picton, travelling on to Blenheim and from there a georgous route into Nelson/Tasman.every corner an other picture paradise. small villages along the way, snug Pubs and Restaurants..and along the wineroute many chances to stop and have a rest after a long time on the road, I had already clocked up 2 month of constant travel....this area brought me back to my senses, back to nature, walking the Heaphy Track and meeting nice people and having a great time.and an encounter with a real wind, a stinging one with all the sand whirls on the Beach at Farewell Spit..actually situated in the Nelson/Tasman region. but both are seemlessly connected.
