You can't expect to find a restaurant is such a far away place, but here is one!!
To find modern, chef prepared, interesting and very fresh food out in the bush miles from civilisation is truly a nice surprise. They grow their own organic veges and other items are boated in each day. Sometimes menu items run out because of isolation, but the food is still exquisite.

Favorite Dish: You don't have to be staying at the Lodge to eat or just have coffee here. And never before have I found such perfect coffee in the middle of the bush!
The ambience is serene, natural and gorgeous. Birds twittering and people chatting.
They always serve locally caught fish, we had River Salmon. West Coast Ribeye Steak (beef) is often available as are local Scallops.
One thing for sure, you can never eat thru the menu. Our package deal meant the meals were included in the price.

Had a lovely week in the area, we missed most of the Christmas holiday rush, and enjoyed several days exploring the beaches and walks in the Abel Tasman National park.
