Because of the combination of ocean and native bush you can find some beautiful driftwood "sculptures". These are like natures work of art strewn all around the coastline . A common sight yet no two exactly a like.
I love to collect shells on a beach. And Tasman National Park has an abundance of unspoiled beaches to comb. But after you collect the shells don't take them away, take a picture. That way the people who come behind you can also enjoy discovering them.
We did a day trip Sea Kayaking with "Wilson's - the Beaches and Bays tour" - our guide was fantastic - we got a super fast ride in a boat to our starting point where we got the safety briefing and gear. The day was just stunning, the sea flat and the kaying was not too strenuous. Saw (and smelt) seals in the water and on their rocky home. before paddling on to a sandy bay for lunch - provided. our guide had a burner to boill up the corree and prepare the mussels too. Time to swim or just rest and get to know the other tourists, before paddling back to our starting point for a jet boat ride home. What an awesome day!
From Awaroa Lodge, or from any point in the Park, you can take walks in the bush. There are many tracks, and the length of the walk is really whatever you want.
It pays to get into the bush a little bit, even if it's just for 20 mins. Smell and hear the lovely atmosphere and just take in the beauty of native New Zealand bush, it's well worth it.
The walks can be 20 mins or 3 hours, or whatever you want. There is a little bit of hill climbing from one bay to the next, but it's well within the range of the average person.
You can see so many beautiful rocky points along the shore while traveling by boat. Abel Tasman National Park has such a variety of nature and most of it is pristine and beautiful.
En la isla de Tonga y en otraspartes de la costa se pueden ver focas , cormoranes...
On the island of Tonga and other parts of the coast you can see seals, cormorants ...
There was so much to see around every bend on our hike through Tasman National Park. This lagoon was another great spot we discovered. It was so peaceful and not another person in sight !
You must go sea Kayaking. The tours are well organised and you are looked after very well. We decided to use Abel Tasman Kayaks.
