If you're in the area to visit beautiful Abel Tasman national park, there's really no excuse not to take the wildest ride of your life...
Uflyextreme offers an experience you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else - get in the front seat of their Pitts Special, let the instructor get the plane airborne and the rest of the flight is (more or less) in your hands!
Loops, barrel rolls and air acrobatics of all kinds - after a quick demonstration by the instructor, you take the stick and execute these maneuvers yourself, two kilometers above picturesque Abel Tasman national park.
A unique combination of adrenalin rush and extreme concentration, and certainly a trip you'll never forget!

If you are in Motueka, you simply must visit the Gecko , a small independent cinema situated in the heart of town, yet quite well hidden. It is small, cosy and comfortable and the staff is friendly. You can have a hot cuppa, ice cream, organic juice, and loads of tasty treats.
To top it all they only play the best films.

Motueka had a fairly high crime rate, and lots of polices for being such a small town...(One year there was 5 murders here!) when we were there 2002.
I have never seen so many pub fights ever as I saw here. But we have heard that lots of the "bad guys" has disappeard by now, and that it is more calm...
And there is lots of nice people!;)
