    Motueka had a fairly high crime rate, and lots of polices for being such a small town...(One year there was 5 murders here!) when we were there 2002.I have never seen so many pub fights ever as I saw here. But we have heard that lots of the "bad guys" has disappeard by now, and that it is more calm...And there is lots of nice people!;)
