Lake Hayes Walk - Bendemeer Reserve - Lake Hayes Show Ground 40 - 60 minutes return

Arrowtown Lodge & Hiking Co offers over 15 different guided day hikes in the hills near Arrowtown and in the Queenstown Southern Lakes district.
The walks can be divided into 3 different categories
Historic Hikes: These explore the historic goldmining sites of the 1860's when the area around Arrowtown became the site of one of the most frenzied gold rushes of the 19th century.
Two of these hikes start at Skippers School House after a spectacular drive through the Skippers Canyon.
Bush and Forest Walks: These walks are on Department of Conservation trails and provide access into the World Heritage National Parks as well as some very pleasant rambles alongside Lake Wakatipu.
Alpine Tramps (Hikes): These are available in the summer and autumn only, and take you above the snowline where the views are fabulous and you can inspect some of the unique alpine vegetation.
Equipment: Guided day hikes from $NZ80.00 per person per day.
These include transport from the Arrowtown Lodge to the start of the track and return, lunch, and the use of a a small day pack and a waterproof/windproof jacket for the day.
