    Good family fun

    by Kiwi-Chick Written Oct 18, 2013

This is a really good activity for families with smaller children who want to do "crazy Queenstown adventures" however don't fit the requirements for bungy jumping/sky-diving.

The operators are really good & really calming for those who don't like heights. Once up in the air its really amazing, as its so very quiet. The scenery is amazing and the ride is good value for money (In Qtown standards).

The photos at the end are extra, however are really good quality. And they are put to CDRom straight away so you don't have to wait long/or go back to collect them.

Always take a polar-fleece or warm jacket, even in summer.

A mix of parachuting and gliding, without the freefall. You can do this solo or with a friend, exciting and safe. Rather more exhilirating that it may look from a distance, you have a pleasant launch from the custom built platform at the rear of the boat.
With the parachute inflated, you rise gently up and are then towed around the lake as you rise to approx 600ft and remain tethered to the boat.
This activity operates all year round, and although cold in winter, the scenery is gorgeous and the views great from the paraglider.

Minimum 2yrs old and must be accompanied by adult.
    Minimum combined weight 35kg.
Maximum combined or solo weight 200kg.

Solo (per person) Adult $110 Child $80
Tandem (per person) Adult $85 Child $65
    Triples (per person*)
*One flyer must be a small child Adult $75 Child $65
    Observer Adult $25 Child $25
Queenstown Paraflights can provide Jackets, gloves and hats if you need them.
You can take a camera with you, if you think you can operate it while 'up there'. Great views, so I do recommend you try this. Put the strap around your wrist or connect it to you somehow.
