    Shooters Bar: Apres Ski

by oliNZ Written Oct 31, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Shooters is the place to be after a day on the slopes. With happy hour from 5-6 and 9-10, it is full most nights of the week.
Good place to drink and dance and share ski stories

Dress Code: Not particularly fussy. Probably no shorts.

The Paradiso is a small but unique movie theatre. It is full of character! Even if you are not too intressted in the movie they showing you should go. And go early as there will be a run for the best lounge chairs or sofas eventhough all of them are very comfortable. They will make a break in the middle of the movie and you should try some of the freshly baked cookies and self made ice cream. The movies are even personally indroduced. Make a reservation! You can eat dinner there as well.

Within the theatre there is a Morris Minor Car! If I remember right you can even watch the movie sitting in it.

    Dress Code: Everything allowed!

    Cheep Drinks on the Balcony

Lalaland is located on level 1 99 Ardmore st which is on the lake front , you have to make your way around the back into the car park where you will see the stare way to lalaland once you have entered lalaland you feel right at home
it is a small bar crowded with comfy couches, dim lighting and good music this all makes lalaland a inviting place to spend your night,
lalaland is open from 3:00pm - 2:30am 7 Days a week and they sell tap beer for $3.5, tap cider for $4, house wine for $5 and basic spirits for $5 from 3:00pm till 8:00pm every day this led us to spend most arvos on there balcony that has the best view over the lake in town the heaters on the balcony come on when you move as they are set up on motion detectors so you are never cold, the bar staff are amazing and the bar has the reputation of the place to go for all the locals as it is a hidden gem
any one that makes there way to Wanaka should cheek out lalaland
i know i will be there when i return to wanaka in winter as it will be the place to be when coming off the mountain
