    Milford Track in Fiordland

The Milford Track is considered by many to be one of the finest walks in the world. The track spans 60 kilometres over hills, rivers and plains and gives the best views of Fiordland that no vehicle can.

You need to get a licence before you walk the Milford Track in summer and must be obtained from the NZ park authorities at least a few months in advance. The track is very popular and there is a quote on the number of people who can walk per day for the summer.

There are cabins along the way and you are allowed to walk a specific number of kilometres per day and spend the nights in the designated cabins. Dorm beds.
