    A three/five-day historic and scenic link between Golden Bay and Karamea through the Kahurangi National Park. Good track with eight huts. Open year round.

    Another Fiordland National Park gem. This three-day track offers four huts, with spectacular forest and alpine scenery. Start from Te Anau or Glenorchy. Off-season is April to October.

    I recommend this, but you can't fall once during the hike!!! Only because the drop offs are about 200 feet into an icy crevice:)

    Equipment: They provide you with steel cleated boots.
