Cruising Fjordland National Park on Pacific Pearl
This is the ultimate way to enjoy this magical place. There are various waterfalls, sounds and a good number of wildlife. Air is refreshing, soothe and clam the senses! Just enjoy the photos! Whatever it is- Milford, Doubtful, Dusky, Queen Charlotte, Marlborough Sound..any one of this is fantastic! You must see it at least once. We've been to the South Island before and still love to come back over and over again!

Doubtful Sound, Fiordland, New Zealand
Most people go to Milford Sound as it is accessible by road and is cheaper. Apparently Milford is more spectacular as the hills / mountains immerging from the water are steeper and taller but Milford in only a third of the length of Doubtful and there are just no people on Doubtful - you really feel as though you have the place to yourself. You have a much longer trip and you get to go over :ake Manapouri too.
But dont tell everyone as it is just great as it is now! If you want a day / night in the most peaceful place on earth - head to Doubtful Sound

No, its not a plane service or charter. It is a jet boat ride. It is $89 NZ dollars for a single adult boat ride, or $104 NZ for single adult plus photo, or $128 NZ for the full Thrill Therapy Photo Pak. You get a half hour ride, I think and it is well worth the money. You need to make a reservation (Or it is highley reccommended) Please see their website for more. www.shotoverjet.co.nz

This is a very beautiful lake located along the way to Milford Sound. You can stop by the side of the road and take a wooden trail along the side of the lake. The lake is like a mirror reflecting the landscape. Very enchanting.
