Contact one of the local charter boats and hopefully good weather is on your side and you are able to go out to Phillip Island for the day - a memorable day-track but not for the faint hearted. Medium fitness required as it takes between 4 - 6 six hours leisure trekking to the top, Mt Jackie-Jackie and back down again.

A beautiful island that is a great example of rehabilitation after culling the rabbits population and growing the enduring and faithful Norfolk Island Pine to stop the island eroding. During the ''Whale-Bird" season (one or two months of the year), your local guide can lead you through and show you how to collect whale bird eggs that you can fry up in the local Fisherman's Hut into the tastiest omelet you will ever have in your life.
