 | Norfolk Island Transportation | Tips 1 - 7 of 7 | | Popular Transportation | Miscellaneous Transportation Tips | All Tips (7) If you have decided to go then it's 99% plus sure that you will be going by plane. A lot of times you will be sharing that plane with a lot of old farts like myself. In fact, on the entire plane there was only one couple under 50 when we went. You have been warned. With the introduction of a service from Newcastle you can now go from there or Brisbane, Sydney or Auckland. You can expect to pay between $600 to $850 unless, like me, you get a special deal and you get accommodation, car hire, museum passes and a couple of meals thrown in all for around $1,000. Bargain. The planes are medium haul jets run by a couple of different companies and it takes just over two and a half hours from Australia to get there, shorter from N.Z. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

Is Please GIVE WAY TO THE COWS, and other non-motorised users of the road (includes little children, ducks, geese etc). Please note there is only ONE taxi on the whole island - at the moment you can call the taxi for free from any public or local phone on the island (all local phonecalls on the island are currently free - might change shoon). However, your accommodation normally comes with a hire car included, if not, you may hire a car for AUD$25 per day, and if you are staying with friends/relatives, I am sure they will have no hesitation in running you around or having you borrow their car. Remember, the island is only 5 by 8klms, so when in need feel free to stick your thumb out and any local who comes by will take you whereever you need to go. Theme: Car/Motor Home

When I was there we had only one company fly to this Island. I think in this time you have more opportunity to choose between more companies. That mean the ticket is more cheaper. When we had to buy it,that was more than 700$ AUD. Theme: AirplanePhone: 23859Other Contact: NORFOLK JET EXPRESS Burnt Pine
