There are some tourist attractions ; such as ' Banzai Cliff' which means ' Hurray' cliff. (Where the Japanese soldiers committed mass suicide when they defeated in the war..I heard the soldiers jumped in the sea with being tied their waist with a rope each other....and then jumped in the sea One by one....) So sad...huh? When i got there, I saw many Japanese tourists who were doing ' Memorial service' for the soldiers...

Most travelers miss the inner beauty of the Marianas which is its friendly people, hidden scenic areas, the local food, and great beaches away from the regular tourist traps. The picture below was taken by a friend at the Grotto. If you wear a mask and have head gear to look underneath, you will be at awe with all the colorful fish that surround you. Many dive tours are offered here as well. VERY IMPORTANT when swimming in the Grotto: You can't go too far into the cave because of the strength of the current. Make sure that you always have a swim buddy with you. Another thing, be prepared for a stair climbing workout while you try to reach the beautiful ocean water...it's about a good two hundred or so steps (I'm not really sure about the numbers but it's not that close to the top).

The locals I feel. They are some of the friendliest people on earth. So, take sometime, and talk to them, especially the elderly, they have fantastic storys to share, and enjoy doing so. Soak up some local customs, if you don't, you will have missed one of lifes wonderful gifts.

drivable or not...that is
the dilemma!!!

...as the beaten paths are not so many!!! can be discovered in a few hours driving around the little island. now, if the map you got when renting the car or elsewhere, says there is a road, do not take it for granted!!! if you do, you are gonna be WAY OFF the beaten path in no time!!! which might be kinda exciting, indeed....until ur car gets stuck in the mud in the middle of nowhere in wilderness....and u start hearing strange animals` sounds... the decision u`ll be constantly making is " is my current vehicle able to take the challenge ahead...forever narrowing road, deepening muddy road and the jungle bushes framing the road ever so tightly....

the running seashell!!!

ok, so i was looking on the beach the lovely formed stones that was pieces of coral washed from the ocean....until i noticed that a few of them got scared and started to run away!!! what!!! i never saw escaping stones before!!! but a closer look proved me wrong, they were not stones, they were seashells!!! but i never saw seashells either running off like that!!!

once i went really closed the creature hid inside the shell and thought i would go away...which i of course didn`t;)) i was waiting behind my lense to get a good shot of the little creep :D after a few minutes the shrimp-without-the-tail deared to peak out of his shell and once he saw me still there, he decided to run for his life!!!
