Though Napoleon fish move quite gracefully through the water, there faces are just flat out butt ugly !!! (Big bump head, big lips and bulging eyes....) |

Well, lesseee.... I saw the first shark of the trip about 30 seconds into the first dive.... Just lucky maybe.... Well, I can fill out the requirement for at least one or two shark pictures anway.... |

| Stone Footpaths and Terraces | | |

A few things to keep an eye out for are stone paths and terraces. You will see some of these on Babeldaob Island. The stone footpaths are still used and connect villages together. I walked along one for a while and it took me to a sort of hang out spot in the jungle. A lot of the stones are rounded and can be slippery when wet. Terraces are still easily visible as they are a couple around the island. They are still a bit of a mystery as there weren't really any villages around them and they were abandoned around 1600 or so. |

Eat fresh fish and fruits, You must take a tour with Sams tours, I usually hate tours but this is something else!! They really did a great job!! Kayaking on the beautiful waters, it was like a dream! Fishing was great and then just put the fish on the grill some lime and ready to eat!! Snorkeling was awesome but diving is even better, but I was pregnant at the moment, couldn't do it!! |

see the underwater world of Palau. It is unbelievable! Take a snorkel and forget your time in the water. Wonderful impressions and colours, different corals and fishes are waiting here. |

If you are a diver then I recommend the Blue Corner. Also note the Rock Islands. While I am partial to Yap, Palau is a close second. Watching a Hawksbill turtle feeding under water from 5 feet away. |
