So a shaman turned the mother and child into stone. The stone is located in the southeast of Koror island. It is located about 50m from the main road in Ngermid Hamlet. Tenrikyo was brought into existence in1838 by God the Parent, the creator of mankind, who revealed Himself through the living shrine, Miki Nakayama, whishing to enjoy alongside, us, humans, leading a joyous life.
Reverend Yoshio Shimizu, born in 1902 in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture, Japan, was the successor to the Tenrikyo Heishin Grand Church.
In 1929, for the purpose of missonary work and research, he ventured here alone. In midway to his goal however, he passed away. His ardent wish to spread the teaching of God the Parent was further perpetuated by fellow missionaries, and today, Tenrikyo persists worldwide.
In honor of his achievement in it's 50th year, this monument is hereby erected on this day of July 26, 1979.

Tenrikyo is a religion based out of Japan with about 2 million followers worldwide. It's goal is to reach a joyous life with through charity and abstenting from greed, arrogance, anger, hatered and selfishness.

I found this to be a decent museum. It was not clutter and not empty, kind of a good half way point in between. It goes in a chronological order in regards to their various colonial rulers. One part I enjoyed was in the Japanese section where they showed a model of Koror and mention what the buildings where during the Japanese section. Afterwards I went around and was looking at the buildings and thinking about them during Japanese days. They also have a section on the local wildlife which I think could have been better. When I went there I only paid a few bucks to get in but the admission is going up now. They do something I hate and have two prices, the local price and non local price.
