Elilai Restaurant: Stunning Atmosphere with Decadent Cuisine

by bphilli80

Elilai Restaurant offers excellent Pacific Rim cuisine. They use fresh local ingredients in their recipes including organic veg and fresh local seafood. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and contemporary and casual. They have a gorgeous view of the lagoon in Koror. Seared Pepper Tuna with Korean Style Spicy Sauce. Fresh fish steak cooked to perfection with delicious Korean Spicy Sauce served atop a bed of mashed potatoes. Delectable!

Burgers are the cheapest

by Kyle-Taiwan

There are a couple burger stands around, they are the cheapest thing to eat and are "American" style. About $5 (USD) for burger/fries. If your on a budget, this is your choice, unless you have a kitchen then there is the grocery store. Cheese Burger

Unknown: Hamburger's on Koror are not to miss!!

by iamstu72

Okay, so I don't know the name. You won't miss the obvious white trailer that sells the hamburgers on Koror! I ate the hamburger. My husband and son had the cheeseburger...we're not kidding you - these hamburgers are not to miss!!

Rock Island Cafe: Must eat here!!

by iamstu72

This is not to be missed - nor is it hard to find. With a large, lighted sign outside this is one place that's hard to miss. We were told to eat here for the pizza. I ordered the local mix pizza, my husband choose a custom toppings pizza, while our son enjoyed the local curry dish. Each of these were delicious. One of the best dinners that we has on our entire stay. The service was fast and pleasant. We even purchased a "story board" from the restaurant for a very reasonable price!! Local mix pizza and curry dish.

Dock Side Restaurant: Landmark Marina Hotel - Yummy!!

by iamstu72

We stayed at this hotel, so it get convenience points, that aside, we ate breakfast every morning as well as two dinners here. We enjoyed each meal. The breakfast buffet was big and offered the regular fare of eggs, meats, cereal, and toast as well as local foods like fresh cut fruits, small breakfast cakes, and toast with a tuna mixture that is absolutely delicious (though you can order breakfast off the menu as well). The lunch and dinner menu features items that range from hamburgers to lobster. You can choose to eat your meal inside where it's air conditioned, on the veranda, on the dock where they have tables with umbrellas, as well as a private party room with a spectacular view. Top it off with really great customer service!! Every time we had the opportunity to eat here we enjoyed it very much. The breakfast buffet (LOVE those purple coconut cakes) and the veggie stir fry.

Palau Pacific Resort: PPR - Biggest rip off with horrible food!!

by iamstu72

We couldn't have been more taken with the look of this resort. It's seriously some of the better views on the island. We decided to eat at the resort's buffet that night. Not only was the food HORRIBLE but it was more than $30 USD per person. Even the desserts were dried out and bad tasting. For us, it was a waste of money and digestion. None

Some local cafe in downtown Koror: Local Food

by juliewong

Local food fare. The dishes seemed to have some influenced from Philippines. It could partly due to the high number of Filipino imigrants in Palau and close proximity of the island to the Philippines. The squid, green vegetables, soup and meat were cooked in various styles - deep fried, curry style, soup-based and grilled. Food is quite tasty and the portions are quite large. Grilled squid was my favourite dish.

The Taj: Northern Indian food

by juliewong

Upscale restaurant serving Northern Indian cuisine. Food is relatively good but a tad pricey for budget travellers. We could find better Indian food back in Malaysia. Service is on par with the price one pays for.The restaurant can be packed with crowds of tourist. Best to pre-book.

Sams Tours Bottom Time Grill Bar: Breakfast

by juliewong

Had American breakfast consists of pancakes and bacons. The portion is a little to heavy for an Asian girl like me. Still they serve the bacons way I like them - crispy and burned. About US$6-7 per breakfast meal. Teriyaki barbequed chicken

Ben's Kabayan: Try Filipino Food

by Ekahau

A simple family-run restaurant with a large open kitchen where a very nice guy from the Philippines (you guess it named Ben) churns out some of the best Filipino food I have had since Bagio. Simple but good honest home style Filipino left me feeling lumpiaed out but fat and happy. Their are a lot of Filipinos that work or visit and this seems to be a place that they go to from my visit so has the local Filipino vote for good affordable food. The dishs are really a nice variety local very fresh fried fish and rice to rich paellas and cocidosis very nice. Popular dishes are lechón (whole roasted pig), adobo (chicken and/or pork marinated in soy sauce, viniger and Garlic with a dash of lemon and than a little of this and that. Also Kare-kare (beef vegetables cooked in tasty peanut sauce) with a little ), pancit (stir-fried noodles), lumpia Filipino style fried spring rolls.
