The dukduk festival is the local fire dancing and walking on water festivals. Well worth the trip to Kokopo for this alone. held in June/July although the dates are likely to change each year.

If you have a hire car in Kokopo make sure you have plenty of fuel for those out ofthe way destinations.

For only a few kina catch yourself one of the many PMV's (Public Motor Vehicle) around the Kokopo and rabaul area.

The Airport for both Kokopo and Rabaul is situated a few km to the south of Kokopo. Either catch a taxi or PMV 1.
