Favorite thing: There is an underwater post office at Hideaway Island. I heard that it was the only one in the world - but I also heard that it was the 'first' one in the world so I'm not sure if there are others.
You can get a special 'plastic' postcard which you need to write on with pencil and then you will need to dive down a short distance to post your postcard.
It took around 1.5 weeks to arrive in Australia so get in early... ;) We arrived home before the postcard did...

Favorite thing: Snorkelling on Hideaway Island is pretty good...there are HEAPS of fish around and they are very friendly. There are all sorts of fish and some are really pretty... You can snorkel real close to the beach too which is good for a beginner like me. ;)

Favorite thing: This is a view of the Hideaway Island 'Beach'... They suggest you don't snorkel in this area because of the rough rocks...

Favorite thing: We also saw a huge fish with big teeth while we were snorkelling...hmmmm...he scared me a bit but luckily he kept his distance... ;)

Favorite thing: This is a view of Hideaway Island from the lookout at Klem's Hill. It isn't far at all from the edge of Efate - but probably too far to swim especially when there is a free ferry... ;)
