You will need to get a mini bus (or taxi) to and from Pango Point...we were hoping to walk into town from our resort but it would have been quite a walk. The roads are fairly rough so you'll see a lot while driving anyway. A bus fare from Port Vila to Pango will cost around 200 vatu (about A$2.20).
