11 km from Vila heading West you come to Klems Hill. Here the road rises steeply 200m above the coastal plains and upon reaching the top offers terrefic views back towards Mele Matt Village, Hideaway Island (Mele) and the countryside towards Vila. Klems hill is named after a US engineer who supervised the construction of the road during the 2nd World War.
For a cruise of a difference try the Mankapa River cruise. Also takes in a snorkeling excursion.
a short bus drive from Vila are the wet and wild Cascades. relaxing in 1 of the many lower pools, or climb towards the tp and enjoy the larger waterfalls. The locals may request a fee.
