Favorite thing: It is located at the Airport terminal premises. It is worth to see. Next door there is a Post Office and also a shop selling souvenirs (I bought a T shirt)
Fondest memory: The museum will explain you the history of the island, but not that it was discovered by Alvaro de Mendaña. So now you know.

Q: Are there any military intsellations left on Wake from World War ll?
A: Yes, there are a few things left from WW2. There are a few 5-inch guns left, the command bunker, the airfield, some anti-aircraft guns, and some searchlights.
