This site on the southern point of Wallis is where once a Tongan fortess stood. Wallis was an outpost of the Tongan Empire in the 17 century. The excarvations are not finished yet, and if you are lucky you will meet the italian archeologist there.

On sunday...

by tangaloa

Like in nearly all Polynesia the highlight of the week is the sunday service at church on sunday morning. Even if you are not a religious person, you should not miss this colourful weekly event with a lot of polynesian singing. You will for sure get in contact with the people, as they are very happy meeting foreigners. You should speak some french.

Lake Lalolao

Lanke Lalolalo is a beautiful perfect circle crater lake on the southern tip of Wallis Island. It s very easy to find the site, as the lake is right beside the road.
