 | Anguilla Restaurants | Tips 11 - 20 of 20 | | We ate here more than we should have, almost once a day, but the view and the food were equally impressive. It overlooks arguably the best beach in the world, but you can watch dolphins swim next to your table while eating hummus. The owner (Mamout or something like that) was really helpful. He even called around to find us the best deal on renting a car and kind of scloded us for spending too many meals there. The menu and the location might rank this as my favorite restaraunt.
Tabouli was pretty good. We usually ordered several different appetizers. Leave a Comment Theme: Middle EasternPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: Next to the Dolphin swimming experience

We ended up at the English Rose on Sunday to watch the World Cup match of Italy vs France. The resturant was scheduled to be closed that day, but a waiter we met at Koal Keel resturant was a relative of the Owner of the English Rose and had the Resturant opened for us on that day. I thought that was very nice of them.
The resturant was not serving food and the kitchen was closed, but the drinks were cheap ($3 USD) and we had the place all to our selves. The Rose has a big screen TV which made it ideal for watching Zidane go berserk and headbut Marco Materazzi in the final minuites of overtime. Grillers is a new and located on the main road, near Shoal Bay and Johnnos. This place had good local food for cheap. Which is nice in that most restaurants on the island will set you back almost $100 USD for two. There's no sign we ever saw, its a "gated" resort. Up some narrow hilly roads to a Mediterranean styled hotel. Our table was right along the the edge of the cliff - beautiful crashing waves in the background. Be wary of the tiled steps down to the restaurant - don't wear new stilettos like I did! The service is impeccable, the food beautiful and the menu very extensive. It is very classically French, with a few other additions. Well worth a stop for anyone who loves food.
Calamari Risotto! It's an appetizer but my stepfather actually requested and had it as it as a main entree. Everything was absolutely lovely. The wine list is AMAZING!!! Leave a Comment

It's a nice resturant on the beach overlooking Meads bay. Great sunset views during dinner.
The grouper was excellent! I have a feeling it's all good. A bit pricey though.

We spent most of the time eating at the Malliouhana hotel or at the Cuisinart, but Tasty's sticks out in my head as being one of the better meals we had on the island that didn't cost an arm or a leg. (It only cost one foot) There is nothing special about the service. It's on island time, just like everything else in Anguilla. You may have to hunt for your waiter to get anything done, but don't take it personally. That's just the way it is in Anguilla. Their use of Curry Powder in a lot of their dishes gives the food somewhat of an Indian flavor.
Everything that was ordered was pretty good. My personal favorites were the drinks. They make a tasty rum punch. Anguilla has some excellent dining options, but few of them are cheap. Two locally owned and operated restaurants that are justifiably popular with locals and tourists alike are Tasty’s and E’s Oven. Not surprisingly, seafood features prominently on both menus. One of Tasty’s most popular dishes and the chef’s favorite is a seafood salad featuring conch, lobster, shrimp, scallops, and mahi mahi. Both restaurants serve a coconut-crusted fish fillet with spicy banana rum sauce. Both restaurants are shown on the island map and are easy to find.Website: http://www.tastysrestaurant.com/

One of the most talked about restaurants on Anguilla! Quite a beautiful location and very comfortable inside. Service is friendly and attentive - though a bit scattered. The food was outstanding, but I thought the the portions didn't reflect the price. It's worth a visit but I thought there were better choices. Wine list was good.
The two appetizers we had were phenomenal (though once again, very small) the vegetable spring rolls and the pistachio crusted goat cheese salad. The lobster was excellent and you should definitely save room for dessert. The cracked coconut was decadent! Leave a Comment

We loved the food at this restaurant so much that we took our friends back for lunch the next day! Very casual, but that doesn't mean the food is! We loved everything we ate there. The dishes were local, the view beautiful. The service was always friendly and the prices reasonable.
We shared the Smokey's Sacafete the first time (African wingettes, curry roti, fish kebab and honey ribs) and it was fabulous. Helps you to decide which main dish you get the next time! The curried goat is also outstanding if they have it. Watch out for the little bones though! This is considered an English pub in the Caribbean. We went here for lunch in the off season so itwas very quiet. Though we did see all the celeb pictures on the wall (Mariah Carey in a camo skirt, nice!). The food was good and the beer was Great! We were right next to the road, but even though it was busy, it still retained its charm (chickens and chicks crossed the road)
Fish & Chips were AMAZING. Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: 264 497 3380Directions: Sandy Ground
