ouch! seconds after this pic was taken I was flipped over and slammed into the sand by a strong wave. Not only was my back badly scraped and bruised, but I'll be picking sand out of my arse for the next few months.

shipwrecks

So, the waters seem calm, but beware of reefs. We spotted many shipwrecks while we were on the islands. Looks like you are on your own if you wreck, because they boats are just left there to be taken by nature.

No ATM at the ferry station

Credit cards are not accepted to pay for the ferry and there is no ATM anywhere near! The closest ATMs are in The Valley. The only other option is if at a shop they charge your credit card and give you cash but I don't know how common this is, the shop's owner might have just done us a favor. Be sure to have enough cash!

Watch the spikey burrs on the ground near the beaches. The really, really, really hurt when they get stuck in your feet!

Also, bring tons of mosquito repellent. I have more bites then I've ever had before!!!
Maybe bring something to take away the itch too.

Potholes and Speed Humps are other dangers you should be wary of. They aren't painted bright colours so that you can see them. You could leave your rear end suspension back at the hump if you're not careful! Once you get accustomed to where they are, you'll be fine. I would suggest daytime driving at first!

You must know Anguilla is an expensive place compared to neighbor Saint Martin. The main difference between Saint Martin and Anguilla is that Saint Martin is a duty free island whereas Anguilla is not. Besides, Anguilla is such a small place that you will not be able to find too many supermarkets and there is not great variety.
Therefore, if you are going to spend more than a week in Anguilla, I would suggest you to go shopping in Saint Martin first as during that day, you will get to see Saint Martin and you will also save money.
