Food is nothing special
The food here is nothing special, mainly buffet except for 2 nights a week when it is French night and Italian night.
The best restaurant is Lindys, but when I was there it was not part of the All-Inclusive package, but you were permitted to dine there on one evening without charge.
The photo alongside shows part of the hotel from the dining area.
Can't remember...sorry!: Conch salad! Yummy!
Although the food at the hotel was incredible, we ventured into town to try a local restaurant. The locals pointed us in the direction of this out of the way little restaurant and told us to try the Conch. It was wonderful!

Open air restaurant on the ocean . . . Paddy, the owner comes by every evening to check on you . . . The ladies that served us every day were the best . . . For our wedding night dinner, Paddy went out of his way to make sure they got some fresh conch for us . . . We had a fantastic meal prepared just for us . . . Photo is right after the wedding . . . Paddy is on my side and Wesley the bartender is on Jim's
Favorite Dish: Breakfast Lunch and Dinner were equally fantastic
St. John's Waterfront Area: St. John's Waterfront Area
Rather than list various restaurants I went, I would just advise to head here and check out the diffrent places such as Hemingway's, Red Tavern, Top Banana (excuse me if the names aren't exactly right). The food is good in most places just the prices are depressing.
This was a really nice spot to stop and take a break while in St.Johns during the day.The view was nice as you sat on the verandah and the cooling breeze was like heaven on a hot day.The prices were great and they had Heineken beer!!!
Favorite Dish: Fying fish sandwich and key lime pie for desert...yummy.
We did not find a favorite...
We did not find a favorite restaurant. this is one island where we hit the grocery store on the way in and cook for ourselves.
We have friends who came back recently and raved about the food on the small island of The Prickley Pear.
Favorite Dish: We prefer seafood but found it expensive in most places.
We always go to Shirley...
We always go to Shirley Heights on Sunday night to watch for the green flash. It sits high above the English harbor which is a sight on its own. On Sunday night they have a steel drum band and local crafts and a great barbeque. Be careful if you have a problem with crowds cause everyone goes here on Sunday even the locals. It is great fun!
i have friends who have eaten...
i have friends who have eaten at the Pricley Pear and thought it was wonderful. We usually are tired at night and don't eat out too often. We like the Lobster Pot but like most of the restaurants on the island, it is not cheap.
Dennis' Cocktail Bar & Restaurant: Best Local Food In Antigua
Dennis is truly a wonder. He has built this restaurant from the ground up and he also does all the cooking himself! What a great guy!
