Aruba Aloe Factory: Soothing Aloe - take the tour!

by cruisingbug

The Aruba Aloe Factory, which I believe opened in 2002, gives you a first-hand look at how the famous Aruba Aloe lotions and sunscreens are made (great stuff!). Starting with an introduction to the plant itself (the factory is set in the middle of the aloe vera fields), you move on to the history of how aloe has been used for various purposes and then into the factory area. Last stop is the gift shop, which is well-stocked and reasonably priced. Splurge on the gift baskets and you'll have your Christmas shopping done for the whole family!

Royal Plaza Mall: Hot Shopping

by Dalila_Arends

I like the building itself because it's bright pink and blue. It matches really well. It's like a mall with a plaza where you can find souvenir carts selling beautiful things. At Royal plaza you can find beach wear, aruban/ dutch artifacts and souvenirs, cafes, restaurant/bars, jewellery stores and cologne shops. all of them are from high quality so you should expect the prices to be high. It's really nice to walk there at evenings and to sit in a restaurant on the second floor and enjoy the view. Iguana Joe's a must. Well, as I already said they sell anything that tourists might be interested in. Just a pity that the prices are high. But you sure will find something worth paying for. I can't really say that because it depends on the store that you're buying and what you're buying. But all items are at tax-free prices, that doesn't mean though that everything is cheap
