Aruba is very safe in general. My only bad experience was driving... because roads and streets are so small you have to be extra-careful if you rent a car. I'll say avoid it.
Aruba is a safe island, not much will happen to you here, but you still have some bad neighbourhoods, in some parts of San Niclaas, don't walk at nite alone.And the sun, use sunscreen
they sell pot pipes in the streets and the drug dealers are not to far away. yelling out to us 'gonja, gonja'

Not really a danger, but there are many topless bathers there, so if it would be offensive to you...
Extremely expensive...food and shopping. Not too many bargains to be found.
Little warning - no real danger! Very attractive shopping area in downtown Oranjestad, Aruba, but few bargains!
If you go to San Nicolaas or Oranjestad, take care of people who want to steal your money.
My warning is the same as the tourist trap, don't think you are getting a bargin.
