If I hadn't been there before, I would have passed it by! The area around it was a little run down and I'm not even sure there was a sign. However--Bright and colorful inside!
Favorite Dish: My husband had the shepherd's pie and it was very good. I ended up with saltfish, fried flying fish and cou cou. Just as the local food was before--it was delicious!!! If you can find this place, it is definitely worth checking out!!

We asked for a place to try local food and were directed to this restaurant sitting right on a corner of Bolton Lane--very close to the big department store. This place was filled with locals ordering their lunch as well as take-outs. Very popular place.
Favorite Dish: Thanks to help from the woman who took my order, we were able to try quite a few local dishes. We ended up with flying fish, cou cou, breadfruit and pudding & souse. I loved every bite!!! Totally cleaned my plate!!
We sat right by a couple of local girls who were amused by the fact that this was the first time we had ever tasted any of these things. They'd watch for our reaction when we tasted something. I'd then say "what is this?" and one of them would say something like "that is cou cou" and then go on to tell me what is in it and how to make it. She really helped make the food experience even more fun!!
