There is an attraction in Barbados you should'nt miss!It is a whole day at sea aboard an old wooden ship wiht two mast called 'Jolly Rodger'. It is a replica of a pirate's boat. They bring you for a swim at a nice beach, you eat and you drink enough!!! You take the boat close to the statue of Nelson the british hero of Trafalgar.

MUST DO! Catamaran trip - preferably on 'Cool Runnings'. Day in brief is swimming with turtles, snorkelling (incl. tuition if required), great lunch, free drinks all day incl. soft drinks, rum (of course), beer (Banks, exactly), and wine. We have lots of visitors from back home (UK), everybody loves this day. Plenty of trips offering same sort of things but Cool Runnings is best for the following reasons: -1. The staff. Nice friendly guys, totally look after you on boat and in water.2. Big plus also is that they also do everything possible to take you to the best spots before the crowds arrive. However exciting it is to see turtles it's more fun to be in water with 3 turtles and 20 people than 150 people! 3. Tip, if you look like you are having a great time the guys will stay out a little longer.Show some appreciation.4. Excellent t-shirts. Best in Barbados.Basically, a really chilled...

The animal flower forest and caves are in a remote end of the island. It's worth the trip. You can take a taxi or the BUS. The bus is a trip in it's self. You will see parts of the inner island, but it goes every on the north end of the island. It's fun.Try it! Meeting the real barbados and the local people who live there. sometime they will envite you to come along with them to a party or a trip to there home.

Formally a British possession, slave and penal colony, Barbados was an island used for sugar plantations. The beautiful gardens today replace a painful era with vibrant growth...a more fitting tribute to the God-given fertility of the soil!

Barbados is famous for its beaches and there's good reason. The west coast is referred to as the Platinum Coast with its beautiful white sand beaches and glitzy hotels. The south coast (St. Lawrence Gap/Worthing area) has wonderful beaches and a young feeling. The east coast has a beautiful landscape with beaches with brown sand--the water is rougher because the beach faces the Atlantic Ocean, but there are nice swimming pools in which you can enjoy the water.

It may sound corny, but the Animal Flower Cave in the northern part of the island is a really quite a sight. You can travel into the grotto and take in a view of the sea from below. You will need to pay for a guide, but the price is minimal.

St. John's Church

St. John's ChurchThis historic Church offers spectacular view of the Atlantic Coastline. St. John's Church is located 850 feet above see level and was the highlight of our trip to Barbados. This is a must see for anyone visiting the Island of Barbados. We spent about 45 minutes exploring St. John's Church.

Town of Bridgetown

Town of BridgetownWe spent just a short time exploring Bridgetown at some of the local tourist shops located near the ship. Our tour provided by Princess Cruises also provided a small tour of Bridgetown, including sights such as the Houses of Parliament, Trafalger Square and Gun Hill Signal Station. We do wish we had more time to explore Bridgetown.
