Crooked Tree is Located HERE
Favorite thing: Only 30 miles (50-km) northwest of Belize City, Crooked Tree is a tiny village located on a freshwater island about 15 miles inland from the Caribbean Sea. This part of Belize is a flat area, only about 15-16 feet above sea level, that is criss-crossed by various water obstacles. It also has the amazing Mayan ruins of Lamanai nearby, and tours can be arranged from the lodges to visit there (in fact, many people boat over to these ruins on day-trips from the off-shore Caye Caulker and Ambergris Cay close to the tip of the pointer).
Crooked Tree is easily accessable via the sealed Northern Highway between Belize City and Orange Walk, with only a 3.5 mile long earthen causeway out to the island not being sealed.
the lady in the kitchen...
Fondest memory: I have never been good with words when it deals of relationships, and I don't want to write cliché... you can read of Dorla, in the pic with me, in the restaurant tip but she is definitely one of the fondest memory...
