Aquacate Reserve a preserve given to Belize government by the Mennonite community because it contains two large lakes and jungle covered Maya ruins.

Alexi our guide found 2 howler monkeys sleeping way high in 2 trees. We made howler noises and shook trees but the monkeys only looked up from their nap or scratched their behind. Looked like gorillas through binoculars.

Use plenty of mosquito repellant!
