This was a different Mayan ruins experience, as it was only discovered in 1983 and much of it is still covered by foliage, so at times you just feel like you're out in the woods rather than in a Mayan city. However, I really enjoyed exploring this place because you could explore lots of nooks and crannies and hallways into the mountain. Also, it is not a widely visited site, yet, and we saw only about 3 other people the entire time we were there!

Mick, our guide blazed trails for us as we explored his property. He showed us Mayan sites and caves. Here's our party waiting for more trail to appear.
