This photo illustrates how TIME is treated in the jungle. This bus is crossing the Belize River on a ferry. On the other side are 2 vehicles. When the ferry reaches the other side (it took about 10 minutes to cross), the first vehicle (the tractor) will get a ride back (another 10 minutes). After the tractor drives off the ferry, the ferry will wait until another vehicle arrives at the river. It will not go back to the other side just to pick up the truck. I guess the moral of the story is not to plan your day around your watch. Being in any sort of hurry would be infuriating. In a way, this makes Belize an ideal vacation spot!
