This is a cool little restaurant on the beach owned by a woman and her daughter. I only saw the daughter, she was actually my waitress. You would think she was a tourist from Ireland with her red hair and freckles, but as soon as you hear her talk, you know she is local. Switching from perfect english to slick creole with each sentence.
Favorite Dish: They have a varied menu but I HIGHLY reccommend the conch fritters, the burritos and the maccaroon cookies for dessert. The fritters are delicious and the burritos are HUGE (see picture).
We were in Caye Caulker for 4 days and we ate here 3 times.

I heard/read so many great reviews about this place, so first meal experience was at Rasta Pasta on Caye Caulker. The restaurant was located right on the beach, where you rest your feet right in the sand. Reggae music playing in the background, while rasta locals gathered around tables. The vibe was upbeat. The food that was raved about was not memorable....perhaps only ordering ceviche and grilled fish was not rasta pasta's specialty.
Favorite Dish: The ceviche was made w/conch and was good but not the best. Even before tasting Marins Restaurant's ceviche, my boyfriend commented he's had better ceviche (15Bz) than Rasta's before. The grilled fish (20Bz) was good, but a bit salty. The price was reasonable, but we definitely found food better suited for our tastes and friendlier to the pockets. There were more interesting meals on the menu and they offer a variety of vegetarian dishes, so perhaps these were the foods everybody was raving about.

This place is central (although everything is pretty central on Caye Caulker!), the portions are huge and they occasionally have live music - we saw Tony Brown, wow! dope! acoustic reggae and blues. When we were there he was playing Sundays and Tuesdays. The floor is sand, you eat dinner bare foot looking at the ocean. Although not the cheapest place to eat, if you're not into street food, this is probably the next best place to eat.
Favorite Dish: The giant jerk chicken burrito! it's huge, spicy and relatively affordable; $12 BZE ($6US).
Meals here were anywhere from $5-10US. We only had dinner, so I can't comment on the breakfast.

They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can't go wrong here. They do not serve red meat, but have great dishes made with seafood or chicken.
Favorite Dish: Conch Ceviche - the conch was tender. Very nice flavor, just the right amount of heat from the peppers.

Rasta Pasta was definitely one of the coolest places to hang out on the island. Smooth Reggae music would waft through the air mixed in with the mouth watering aromas of pasta dishes. Great little mix. The place is kind of out-doorsy, but it only adds to the atmosphere. Staff was extremely cordial and well representative of the good people of Belize. When you're done with your meal, saunter up to the bar and throw down a Belikin with Bobbi. She was very cool. :-)
Atmosphere was just as an ejoyable as some of the 4 star restaurants here in Dallas. Great place to chill and watch the surf.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Picatta

only if you go at lunch time, you could have to wait long, very long: the all of the ice of my lemon juice was gone when I got my deep dipped chicken which however was worth waiting... while when I tried one of its breakfast counting plenty of time for it ;-), the choice of the menu arrived fairly soon and the waffles with fresh fruit or the filled fried jacks were excellent, free refill for the coffee...
