WishWilly, Caye Caulker: Best Food on the Island!
Nothing fancy but a great host and cook!
It is like having a BBQ at a friend's place.
No menu; they serve what ever is available that day; cooked with the expertise du chef!
Favorite Dish: The barracuda was excellent!
Wish Willy's: Wish Willy's
Wish Willy's just moved to a new location, near the split, behind Frenchie's dive shop. I'm lucky enough to live next door! Most days, I'll be over there for drinks and a sunset view from the rooftop deck, or for dinner, or both. Yesterday he made me a killer plate of lobster and snapper... the night before, believe it or not, we had sushi! Sushi's not so easy to find around here, but Wish did it right!
There's no better place on the island to eat, and spend happy hour. Stop by... I'll be there.
Favorite Dish: If you can get him to make you some sushi, its phennominal... or pasta with lobster tails. Or anything!

Wish Willy's: Best food on Caye Caulker
Maurice, from Chicago will cook you up a storm. Not the cheapest food on the island but certainly some of the best. Let him know that you're coming and he'll make sure you're taken care of. Some of the dishes he cooks are beyond description. Tasty, yummy, delectable... none of them do his cooking any justice.
Once your done, wash it down with a nice cold Belikin. If you're into nightlife, you may not have to leave your seat. These guys throw a good time.
Favorite Dish: All/any

Wish Willy's: Fresh Catch
Maurice catches his fish by day and usually prepares it with a side of rice and cucumber or something more fun. He also comes out to keep you company and will quickly make friends with you.
Favorite Dish: He serves a mean barracuda.

Because of the hurricane they had about 5 months earlier didn't stop this caye caulker restaurant from having excellent food, and service. they just kept bringing out piles of food for all of us, from shrimp, potatoes, and even conk which i don't think anyone enjoyed, still an experience to try
Favorite Dish: The feast that was among us
In San Ignacio, our best...
In San Ignacio, our best dinner was at Sannie's. We were there in the off-season so we couldn't have lobster but we had plenty of fresh fish and shrimp instead. On Caye Caulker, Wish Willie's had the best food. Both restaurant were very reasonable, approx. $6-8US per entree and rum & cokes were $1.50-$2.00, beer was always at least $2.
