Tipsy Tuna: Barefoot Beach Bar
Barefoot Beach Bar is a fun place. It reminds me of like a senior frogs type place you'd see in Mexico, but more laid back. The drinks are really well priced too. $5 Blz for yummy rum drinks.
Dress Code: Casual. I was wearing a simple summer dress the first night and felt over dressed.
Barefoot Beach Bar: Beachside Bar/Resturant
Great beachside spot for a cold drink and some food. This was our hangout for the three days in Placentia. We arrived saturday afternoon for the 3 o'clock weekly horseshoe tournament. They have nice big beachchairs to enjoy your drink under the palmtrees and enjoy the afternoon breeze. Sunday saw us back here for more "Panty Rippers" and cold Bilikins. Jason stayed too long and had a bit too much to drink. He broke his tooth on someones fist. He was a bit bloodied and somewhat hazy on the details when I met him at the dinghy dock in the morning. So we returned again Monday night to clear up some of the details. Apparently his little brawl was small potatoes as there was a bit more sparring later on. We had some fun with it though, ordering "Toothbreakers" from the bar staff. Maybe they'll have it on the drink menu next time we're here.
Dress Code: Barefoot is nice but not required.

Tipsy Tuna: The Place to Be
We didn't go, but the happening spot that everyone mentioned was the Tipsy Tuna. We heard one of the Belizean bands the night before they went ot the Tuna, and they were awesome. So, I'm sure that place was rocking the next night.
Dress Code: Casual, at all times
Tipsy Tuna: Dancing under the full moon
Plaencia has a variety of night spots and the locals seem to pick one night for each spot. This has changed through out the years so it's best to just ask "so where is everyone going to be tonight". Tipsy Tuna seems to hold the weekend crowd as well as one night a week Karokee (in May is was every wednesday). Due to a noise by-law recently introduced into the town the dance floor has been enclosed making it a little scary on busy, hot nights. Sugar Reef down by the lagoon also has a popular Karokee night. The Pickled Parrot sometimes has life music and the Cosy Corner is a nice place to relax with a Belikin.
Dress Code: Come as you choose.
On the weekends the dress attaire is anything from stiletto's to flip flops, whatever you're feeling baby!!
