    What to not forget!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Sandals and shorts- you will live in them. Don't bring tshirts, buy them there! There is a new gift shop called Sea Shells-something on the sidewalk that has tons of great tshirts.
Forget shoes unless you need to climb a mountain or visit a cave or ruin. (Then get ones with some serious tractor-tread on the bottom.)

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bug spray is plentiful, so don't bother with it. Bring some heavy duty sunscreen. When that fails, and it probably will - Bring Solarcaine or some other sunburn remedy. You can easily get sunburned and the pharmacy in town has nothing but some aloe spray stuff that's very expensive. We would have paid $100 for some Solarcaine after snorkeling if we could have found it!

Band-aids are also hard to find. We finally tracked some down in the pharmacy. They were sunburned-colored!

Photo Equipment: Bring a digital camera and take pictures of everything!
Our camera was safe, just make sure your door is locked when you're gone.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: We bought beach towels in Placencia because we didn't want to pack ours. They are not fluffy but very bright and colorful. They were in a giftshop run by a British woman on the sidewalk.

Miscellaneous: Bring good sandals that will stay on your feet when you walk in sand, which tends to try to pull anything off your feet. The sand gets very HOT which can hurt bare feet.
    Don't forget SUNglasses.

Bug spray and flip flops and floaties

Luggage and bags: Backpacks are the way to go, anything with wheels is going to slow you down.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Flip flops for day wear, flip flops for evening wear. Hiking shoes for treking and a light rain jacket or poncho.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Most things can be purchased at Wallens or Olga's supermarkets just remember tons of bug spray (sand fleas!) and sunscreen.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If bringing kids pack some float toys and just plan to leave them behind with some of the kids they meet.
