Seine Bight Village Travel Guide

Seine Bight a small town north of Placencia Village is home to a garifuna community. Garifuna culture is rich with dance, food and drumming. Ask around Placencia for information on attending a Garifuna Cultural night (sometimes offered at the larger hotels on the north end of the village). A brief history is told, demo's dancing and drumming and then a chance to join in and try the hot punta dance, remember it's all in the hips! Some people may even offer a sampling of Garifuna food.
