Ivan's is a very relaxed bar and restaurant. The motto is stress free, just like the owner, Ivan, who usually hangs out with the crowd. I went on Ivan's Birthday celebration. There was live music all night, bbq, and a huge cake. Although the bar was very crowded and it took a long time to get drinks, nobody seemed to care...definitely stress free. One of my favorite bars in the caribbean!
There is even a campground behind the bar. Go to the website for prices.
Dress Code: The bar/restaurant is on the beach...so no dress code at all.

On Jost Van Dyke, there isn't really a "nightlife". It's definitely a day-trip kind of place, since when the sun sets, restaurants and bars close up shop. If you want to booze until the wee-hours, your best bet is to buy a bottle early in the day and use that.
Dress Code: No shirt, no shoes, no problem!

Jost Van Dyke is a tiny island located in the British Virgin Islands. With a population of about 350 residents, Jost Van Dyke is a unique island only four miles long. If you are forunate enough to sail to this paradise, nicknamed "Barefoot Island", you must make a trip to Foxy's.
Foxy's is the most famous hangout in Jost Van Dyke, boasting hammocks on the beach, refreshing beverages, (try Foxy's Painkiller Punch....yeow!), and also offers casual island music. You may also get the opportunity to hear Foxy himself perform as he creates impromptu calypso.
Spending a week on a catamaran was one of the most relaxing, unique, and unforgettable vacations I've ever experienced. If anyone is interested, the following website shows the catamaran used for this amazing trip:
