One bay over from Foxy's restaurant/pub is The Soggy Dollar...so called because there is no dock nearby...one must either take a dinghy ashore or better yet, jump and swim! I highly recommend the latter.
Now you know why it's "The Soggy Dollar". And yes, there are....soggy dollars that is. You'll see lines strung up behind the bar with bills clipped to them for drying.

Many people visit Jost Van Dyke just to go to The Soggy Dollar or Foxy's. We didn't have a drink at either place, but I could tell a lot of people on our ferry back to Tortola definitely made a stop here. :-)

White Bay is an incredibly beautiful beach located about a 20-30 minute walk from the ferry dock. We love a challenge, so we decided to hike the STEEP hills to get to the beach. It honestly wasn't that bad, but wearing flip flops and carrying beach gear make it more difficult.
My only complaint about this beach is the amount of boats here. The Soggy Dollar and Foxy's (bars on the beach) attract a lot of boaters. When you are in the water snorkeling, it is scary to see a boat headed right for you.

As always, I had to take pictures of the unique flowers and plants I saw. I hope you enjoy them!

No trip to the BVI is complete without a visit to Foxy Callwoods little restaurant/pub on Jost Van Dyke. Foxy, very much a local celebrity, is a talented musician/songwriter. Seems that no matter...

Quaint Island for a quiet vacation

The first day we were there we needed to hike to Great Harbor to pick up our boat that we would use for transportation the rest of the week. The hike was a tough walk up some pretty steep hills for a...
