Everything above 1,000 feet is considered national park in the BVI.
The 265 acre park at the forested peak near the island's center has hiking trails leading to an observation point.
This is called Virgin Gorda Peak Park.
From the observation tower you have a great view of many islands and cays.

The Baths are unique & wonderful, but ask the people who live here for some tips on other lovely spots to see that might surprise you. HIke to the top of Gorda Peak, go see the Coppermine, visit Leverick Bay - yeah, I've detailed these already in my Things To Do tips, so have a look and try some of them out, instead of hanging with 5o bazillion other day trippers at the Baths.
The week I spent on VG went by so quickly, it's almost a blur. For such a small & relatively quiet island, it's incredible how much there is to do!

Christopher Columbus had named these rock formations as the 3 Indians, as he thought that's what they looked liked. It is a wonderful place to go snorkeling or scuba diving. There are many trips of both out to this spot, where there is an abumdance of life under the sea.
