Aqua Beach Restaurant & Bar: How To End A Good Day

by leongarf

Aqua Beach was another cool bar (similar to Coconut Joe's) that was close to our hotel in Seven Mile Beach. One of the nights we were hanging out they had open mic night and there were numerous local bands or musicians showcasing their talents to vacationers...or maybe other locals too. Flip flops, jeans, and a t-shirt for me. Cayman may be a little more upscale than some of the other islands in the Caribbean, but you are still on an island!

Coconut Joe's: Ice Cold Beer!!

by leongarf

This place had some of the coldest beer I have ever experienced. It was located right across the street from our hotel, which made it easy to stumble home from nightly. Flip flops, jeans, and a t-shirt....I don't visit many places with dress codes that doesn't fit that description.

The Next Level: Tiny but poppin

by EinSB

Pretty small little club-you walk in the entrance and then immediately up stairs(The Next Level) Small place but the whole thing was pretty much a dance floor crowded with kids gettin crazy(myself included) overall fun place for this small island-one thing-I guess that normally the Government shuts the clubs down at 12 but for some reason that week they were open till 2 Island casual to cool as you wanna be

Sharkeys: Into the Jaws of the Night

by bluewilldo

Just a few years ago if you asked some-one where the night life was, they'd laugh at you. There was nothing but local hang-outs, but that has all changed now. I'm still partial to cuddling on the beach, but if you live a fast-paced life and want to move... the best club is Sharkeys. It is incredibly well air-conditioned and that's important on a hot night. There's a good dance floor where tourists and locals mix... It's pretty hoppin' most nights. Clubing clothes... That means no flip-flops. You have to be wearing a shirt, shoes, and well pants for that matter. In other words don't look like you just crawled up for the beach after a day of playing in the sand.

Royal Palms: Outdoor bar

by caymancic

I prefer outdoor bars-trapped inside bars in US. But Royal Palms if nice and clean and open and run well. Music and dancing but never on sundays. One of the laws. Also the bars close early compared to US and Europe.Drinks are expesive all over the islands. I usually have a drink before going out and just go light at the bars. Keep a designated driver as driving on the left is hard if you are tipsy. No one going home in a box please.Bartenders are great. Some from the old HI. Lots of fun meeting different people from all over. Dining at the Reef Grill. Your kids can go also. Good fun-my 10 year old nephew thought it was great and his virgin Cayman Sunset delicious. This island is geared to divers, sun worshipers and family. Early bars hours and no gambling. No nudity and they refer to themselves as encouraging a "christian Island". They are good natured but do not want thongs and such but...

Night Snorkel: I don't think Grand Cayman is...

by diver-x

I don't think Grand Cayman is really a night-life kind of spot. If you're into partying, try Miami's South Beach instead. Grand Cayman caters to retired folks, cruise ships and divers. None of which are likely to be out clubbing at 2 am. My favorite night activity was night-snorkeling. Grab your snorkel gear and an underwater flashlight and head for the nearest reef!

by JennyA

O-Bar and La Bodega. Both located on 7mile beach.O-Bar is open a little longer then the other clubs. Has dj's spinning, great music. Fun times. La Bodega is a spanish style restaurant that in the night turns into one hot spot. Good looking staff and great food. Even better at night when all the hospitality workers come in for a night cap. Dress code at O-Bar. No shorts for men and sandals. Women can get away with almost anything...no jeans. La Bodega - casual, smart.

Really not much night life. ...

Really not much night life. Town closes uo at 5pm. The Lone Star Bar is a fun place. So is the Lazy Lizard.People watching. Lazy Lizard was the 'in' spot for locals when I was there, but Lone Star has also had that title. None to speak of. Shirt probably. Shoes maybe.

Royal Palms: Royal Palms

by Stingray53

Live music Wednesday to Saturday at an outdoors beach bar with dancing under the stars. The house band is Coco Red who plays reggae, soca, merengue, Top 40's. There's a good mix of locals and tourists. Casual
