Divers: bring a mesh backpack for your dive gear.
Bathing suit! Just a skin or 1 mil suit is fine for diving or snorkeling here. You don't need the coverage so much for the temperature as for protection against scrapes and jellyfish.
Sunblock, eardrops, and sinus medicine!
The reefs in Grand Cayman tend to get deep fairly quickly, so disposible underwater cameras don't work well - not enough light. There are underwater camera rentals in Georgetown with strobe flash that work great. Leave a Comment

by seagoingJLW The Cayman Islands are tempered by cooling trade winds. February is the collest month with temperatures ranging from 64 to 72 F at night to 72 to 86 F during the day. During July and August highs during the day are 85 to 90 F. May through October is the rainy season with May and October the rainiest months. March and April are the driest. Pack neat, casual, comfortable tropical attire. Leave a Comment

by jzeidman Pack light. Honestly, I could have gotten away with a bikini, swim suit fit for scuba diving, snorkel gear, pair of shorts, couple tank tops, dress for dinners out and an airplane outfit. Bring sunscreen. The Caymans are PRICEY and you're better off buying sunscreen, film, etc at Target. Bring your own snorkel gear if you're not staying in a resort that provides it and save some $$$. Bring CD's if you're staying in one of the Sea Lodges or other private accomodations that have a CD player. It was great to listen to our jazz CDs on the porch. Camera. You won't belive how gorgeous this place it. Go one better and bring the digital.
Swim suit. Flip flops. Shorts. T-shirt. Something nice to wear out to dinner at the Grand Old House.
Sunscreen. Sunglasses. Chapstick. Neosporin in case you get bit by a stingray.
Digital camera.
Flip flops. Snorkel gear if you have it. Dive gear if you have it. Leave a Comment

by slabeaume Swimsuits, t-shirts, and sandals are about all you need here!
Lots of sunscreen and aloe. I've found Bullfrog sunscreen to work very well. Or you can be like my daughter and son's fiancee and become tanned models! Leave a Comment

Bathing suit is a must. If you have your own diving gear - better bring it along as well to save money...
Sunblock lotion Aloe gel (in case you do get sunburned)
For divers - underwater camera. All equipment is available, but the prices are high Leave a Comment

I highly recommend a good pair of aqua socks and/or sandals. The coral on the island is suprisingly sharp in many areas and can easily cut bare feet. No worries though...the beaches also have plenty of sugar-white power-fine sand!
A disposable underwater camera is cheap and can take some decent pics...the underwater pics on my Cayman page were taken with one. Some dive shops also offer high quality underwater cameras for rent. Leave a Comment

Any kind of luggage will do to get to your hotel but make sure you have a day back that can get wet and will drain water. You tend to spend most of your time in or around the water and suede or something else like that just will not do.
Sport sandles, board shorts, tee shirts. That's it. You don't need anything else.
This place is very well stocked and the stores look just like American supermarkets. Don't stress about not having something. You can get it there.
A water proof camera of any kind. You don't need telephoto lenses. Any instamatic will do.
Bring a couple of BIG beach towels. One can dry while you use the other.
Ball caps for 'Gimmees' for the locals. They love'em and will wear them proudly. I gave away 6 while I was there. Leave a Comment

Any bag will do, so long as it will fit all of your clothes and the duty-free stuff that you'll be bringing back.
There shouldn’t be much weather problems unless you go out during the hurricane season. Even then (provided no hurricanes actually hit) the storms are usually very brief. Of coarse common sense tells you to bring sandals and shorts... it's right.
A smart person would bring sunscreen, but if for some reason your 185 IQ brain forgot, then you can pick some up almost anywhere. If you forgot to even buy some... well then, you need some Aloe Vera gel.
An underwater camera is very useful, especially if you plan to do ANYTHING in the water... you want a way to capture those memories, but not ruin an expensive camera.
Well, of course a bathing suit and a mask and snorkel if you have one, if not, no worries, just rent one.
Almost anything that you'll need, you can buy on the island for about four times as much in a tourist shop or twice as much in a local store. Leave a Comment

Travel light. The weather is warm all year so you do not need a lot of clothing.
Cayman Brac is volcanic in nature and has a lot of rocky places. Comfortable but durable shoes need to be worn especially when on the nature trails, rock climbing, or exploring the caves.
Be sure to bring along LOTS of sunscreen!
Exceptional photos can be taken with inexpensive disposable cameras both on land and underwater. These are readily available on the island or save a few $$$ by stocking up and bringing them along.
Fishing and dive charters both provide everything you need to have a great time. If you are an experienced rock climber you will want to bring along equipment to tackle the 140 ft bluff. If you want to do serious cave exploring, again it is necessary to bring your own equipment. Leave a Comment
