Zarcero has a marvelous free topiary garden.
In 1960, gardener Evangelisto Blanco began to trim and form the bushes here into bizarre shapes. There are arcades, elephants, birds, rabbits, corkscrews, snakes, dancing couples, oxen - even a bull fight. On one side is a very elaborate creche scene.
If you have kids, this is a good place to stop and let them run around.
This is free except for your transportation to get there. The gardens are on some bus tours.

Take a walk in the park and see what one man does with his trimming shears. He turns topiary into odd shapes. Trimming the archway topiary that leads to the church is no easy task. He is amazing!
