Every meal I ordered for dinner at the Guilded Iguana restaurant was sensational. The fish was, of course, most likely caught the same day. As a life-long (almost) fish lover and former commercial fisherman I would know. All other meat dishes were also off the chart, especially when you consider the price. The most expensive dinners were $14.00 and comparable to what you would get for $30.00+ in the States.
Skip their uninspiring breakfasts and head to the Gilded Iguana for lunch or dinner. Thelunch menu cosnsis of the typical (but good) sandwiches and burgers. The dinner menu features fresh seafood (whatever was caught that morning) and is outstanding!
The walls of this open air prestaurant are coved with graffiti from people who have passed through the hotel or restaurant. It's also a good place if you need a baseball or NFL fix as the TV is usually has a game on.
On Tuesday nights they have live music, bluegrass and whoever else shows up. The food is reasonably priced, delicious and a good bargain. Not dirt cheap, but affordable.
Olga's is the only beach side restaurant in all of Nosara. They have been there a long time before the current 200m building exclusion zone was put into place.
Olga's specialize in seafood and has whatever if fresh from the ocean that day. They also have good casados and other fare.
Good food at Blew Dog's - The spaghetti, chicken enchiladas, buffalo wings, huevos rancheros are all really good and reasonably priced
