The restaurant at the marina in Rodney Bay has a wrap around wooden porch with tables overlooking the marina. There's even a bar that is built so that people can pull their boats up alongside and drink from their boats!
Favorite Dish: Meals are served (regardless of what you order) with wonderful local vegetables some of which were unfamilar to us before. The fish is great!
There is more than one:
In Rodney Bay
CHARTHOUSE, Rodney Bay - I enjoyed an excellent fish there
THE BISTRO, Rodney Bay - The meal is good
THAI ROYALE, Rodney Bay - excellent for oriental meals
LIME, Rodney Bay - for a fabulous lunch on a Sunday, that is inexpensive
Check JJ's Paradise - Wenesday Night is 'Crab Night'
My fave restaurant was Pizza!Pizza! because the deep pan pizza's are inches deep. My Grandad nearly died when he saw them!!!And they don't take long to cook.
I can't remember the price but it was good value for money.
Favorite Dish: Pizza!!!What else would I have?
The Lime and Capone's Restaurant and La Piazza.
Both restaurants are in Rodney Bay and this is a popular area where you can find many restaurants. I like The Lime because there is a nightclub (Late Lime),the food is good West Indian fare and they serve Carib beer!!! Capone's is a two in one restuarant, I prefered dining open air,the inside reminded me of a 50's soda hop for some reason, cute and quaint. The pizza was very good and this is one of my St.Lucian friend's favourite places.
My favorite restaurant on St. Lucia is a little place called the Hummingbird Restaurant on the south coast just outside of Souffries, the old French capital city
The staff is wonderful. I think they're a family. The setting is excellent, overlooking a boat landing and the sea beyond.
Favorite Dish: The menu changes daily and it's all good! I've recommended it to others traveling to St. Lucia and, so far, they all agree!
The open air restaurant at the Ladera with the moonlight shining on the ocean between the Pitons!
The view from the restaurant at any hour is spectacular. YOu see the cruise ships far below, the moon, everything!
Favorite Dish: Any seafood item. The wonderful Continental breakfast with different island fruit and pastries every day!
Favourite restaurant was Razmataz (Indian) and The Lime (creole)both in Rodney Bay area, although this was very touristy.
All the restaurants are expensive but The Lime is always busy but the waiters take ages to serve you. Razmataz on the other hand has excellent service.
Favorite Dish: I would say go for the St Lucian fish creole at The Lime and prawn curry at Razmataz. The crepes at The French House were delicious too.
The Lime was touristy and local, cheap and good...your standard Caribbean fare, but stick to the takeout buffet and grab a picnic table for more value.
The Lime has it all, a bar, a restaurant, karaoke, a nightclub, anything you can think of, I'm sure they've got it or are in the process of getting it...
Favorite Dish: Stick with your basic West Indian dishes--stewed chicken, stuffed roti, jerk chicken...although my friend did have the lamb stew and raved about it.
Great prices, fabulous food, built our on the waters of Marigot Bay, you can dine and watch schooners, yachts and water vessels of all shapes and sizes come and go.
Favorite Dish: Everything is so delicious we couldn't possibly narrow it down to one thing
The Shack located in Marigot Bay was a great walk from the Inn on the Bay. Fabulous foods from char broiled steaks, seafood, salads and delicious desserts. They have the best Pina Coladas that you will ever taste!
The San Antoine in Castries was built from the ruins of a fire that destroyed the original hotel. It is an amazing place as you feast while overlooking the night lights of the city.
The Coal Pot - Castries - The Coal Pot's ambiance is as special as the cuisine. The walls of the wood and stone open-air structure are decorated with colorful Caribbean art. These acrylic and water designs are Michelle's imaginative creations. Just a few feet away from the dining tables, the waters of the Vigie marina lap against the coral stone beach. On full moon nights, tables are set under the stars.
Very reasonable pricing at the Shack with a wonderful setting right on the Bay as you watch boats and private yachts come in and out of the harbour. Wonderful owner and great staff made this the place that we went to most often!
San Antoine - Gourmet food with a bit higher pricing but well worth the price. Atmosphere lends to romance
Favorite Dish: The Shack - One of the best steaks that I have ever tasted. My husband loved the battered conch fritters and although I am not much for seafood, I even loved them. The caesar salad is to 'die for'
San Antoine - The Spinach Salad must be tried and their stuffed chicken was amazing.
The Coal Pot - Caesar Salad!
This is the kind of swimsuit/barefoot place that is perfect for lunch or evening drinks. It is right on the beach at Renduit and affords an informal place with good food and drinks where you can step out of the ocean onto the restaurant patio.
Favorite Dish: The fresh fish and tropical fruits are a good bet! Try any combination of the two in a salad (I had shrimp and papaya which was divine!). The fruit drinks are really refreshing and a great treat!
A water taxi ride to Marigot Bay with lunch at the cafe is a must......watch the sailboats and relax the day away.
