Costa Rica charges a $26 pp exit fee at the airport. You will not be able to check in for your departing flight without receipt for this tax. A good idea might be to pay the fee in the terminal when you arrive as it is one less thing you'll need to worry about on your day of departure.

Be sure to make your stay in Tamirindo include a Saturday night-the entire town shuts down for a beach party.
