On the whole, industrial activity seemed minimal in Tortuguero. I found this man who was busy putting his masonry skills to use, however, he seemed to be a crew of one.
If you are going to travel to Costa Rice, get used to the idea of listening to the roosters greet each morning before the sunrise. Even in San Jose we were serenaded by the roosters at 5:00 a.m.
Boys, being boys, will always find a river to be a fascinating place. I'm sure that these two practically live in the river. I just hope that they keep a watchful eye out for crocs and caiman.
There's a menacing guard dog. I could not resist snapping photos of the nice pups of Tortuguero. Made me miss my pack who were languishing in the kennel back home.
